Health Education

NOTE: This option is only available for students who transfer into an NC public school with a 0.5 credit for Health Education from the previous school. Course Materials This course does require students to video their work and submit it to their NCVPS teacher.

Module 1 - No equipment needed. Module 2 - No equipment needed.

Module 3 - Music (iPod, radio, phone, etc.), Bowling pins or 2 liter bottles, Bowling ball or any ball, Golf club/putter or stick, Golf ball, Frisbee Module 4 Lesson 1; Basketball or any ball that will bounce. Lesson 2; Baseball, softball, or tennis ball, bat, or glove (really not required) Lesson 3; Volleyball (if they choose to do the video)

Module 5 - No equipment needed. Module 6 - No equipment needed. Module 7 - No equipment needed.

Fitness - Physical Education 9 week course for .5 credit 60302X0

Schools must obtain (prior to enrolling students) & maintain a copy of Parent Permission for courses on the school site. Physical education is a 9 week course for 0.5 full credit toward the required credit in Healthful Living. In our Physical Education portion we will engage students mentally, physically, and socially. We will discuss physically active lifestyles, fitness components, target heart rate, team sports, individual and dual sports as well as jobs related to sports.
